We had another snow storm before the weekend. Initially, they were calling for 8 to 12 inches of snow from Thursday (2/18) to Saturday (2/20).
Thursday came and snow was falling in the morning but it's not accumulating. The kids school was open on that day but some of the schools in the Philadelphia area were closed. In the afternoon, the snow stopped and we've checked the forecast and the snow storm was downgraded and has been changed to 3 to 6 inches but with winds of 40 to 60 mph. The forecast said that we'll basically see 1 to 3 inches on the ground after the wind blows the snow away.
Before going to bed, I still didn't see any snow accumulation. I got up sometime after midnight and I see some snow starting to accumulate but the wind is blowing it around. On Friday morning, the snow was still falling and with heavy winds. Here are some pictures around the house on Friday morning.
All in all, we got spared. The northern part of the East Coast got the most snow and I believe it's about a foot and a half to 2 feet. We just can't wait for spring and summer these days. I am also tired of shoveling but the kids want to play with snow.
I found this school activity made by Daniel last year. Here's a happy snowman with snow falling around him.
